Lamar County Announces New Website

Getting information to the public in a timely and convenient manner is one of the primary goals of the Board of Commissioners. With that goal in mind, Lamar County, Alabama has launched a new website that makes it easier than ever for citizens, businesses, and visitors to access information about the County from their computer, tablet, and mobile phone. The newly designed website includes functionality that will aid the County with getting resources to the public quickly and easily.

“We are very proud of our new online platform because it is informative and user-friendly,” said Probate Judge Johnny Rogers, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners.  “Our website is packed with useful tools, pictures, links, pay online, and search features - all in a mobile device responsive format.”

The Lamar County home page has been formatted for easy navigation.  If you are an “out-of-towner,” you will want to go directly to the Visitors link; if you are considering moving to Lamar County, you will want to click on Local Jobs Available as well as view the Information for New Residents page. If you are lucky enough to already be a resident and need a phone number, you can view the directory, or click on the Pay Online tab to pay your bills online. Whoever you are, whatever your interest, the website can provide you with assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

“The web has become a valuable resource for county residents and business owners,” stated David Crawford, CEO of web development firm U.S.NEXT. “Lamar County's new site will provide every user – on every device – with opportunity to access the excellent services provided by the County's staff, plus save time and expense by providing online access to county resources.”
