Mississippi School for the Deaf Launches New Website

Empowering students who are deaf or hard of hearing with an education designed to promote and develop each child’s potential is the goal of the Mississippi School for the Deaf. With that in mind, the recent launch of MSD’s new website, www.msd.k12.ms.us, provides yet another tool in aiding students develop confidence, leadership, and productivity.

“We needed a way for parents, students, and staff to stay in touch with each other that also provided information for students, potential students and their parents,” stated Dr. Sandra Edwards, Superintendent of Mississippi School for the Deaf, “and our new website seemed the perfect solution.”

“Our goal was to create a design that met the MSD’s objectives for information and usefulness to everyone,” said David Crawford, CEO of web development firm U.S.NEXT, “as well as a website that adapts to any screen size, including mobile devices, making information readily available and easily accessible so that their students can receive the very best education possible.”

The Mississippi School for the Deaf campus offers a friendly and caring environment that helps students reach their full potential and provides children with the communication skills and confidence they need to live happy, productive lives. The technology included in the new website is simply another example of MSD’s dedication to preparing their students for success.
