When the Board of Supervisors began discussing a new website for Prentiss County, the goal was to create a valuable, functional tool – not just an online brochure. With that objective in mind, the County has launched a mobile-responsive website that makes it easier for citizens, businesses, and visitors to access information from their computer, tablet, and mobile phone. The newly designed website, www.prentisscounty.org, includes a distinctive look and feel as well as up-to-date functionality.

Madison the City has taken another big step bringing City Hall to its citizens. The recent launch of Madison’s new official website, www.madisonthecity.com, has created a 24-hour online City Hall, demonstrating the City’s commitment to quality government services and transparency. The new website offers a clean, smart design, allowing users to easily navigate through useful and current information and news, including an online inventory of key City services.
In an effort to help current and prospective students create successful futures, East Central Community College in Decatur, Mississippi recently announced the launch of its new website, www.eccc.edu. The new site provides a refreshed design with resourceful information and photographs, improved navigation, integrated news and calendaring, mobile and tablet friendly functionality, well organized links, and a robust content management system.
Jefferson Davis County now has an official website. The site went live Tuesday morning and will provide many services to the county. The site contains information and contact numbers for all elected officials, fire departments, county offices, etc.
A U.S.NEXT representative presented the website to the Board of Supervisors for approval at their bi-monthly meeting Monday.
The site includes a page for new residents, links to utilities, links for local attractions, photos of landmarks, a “How do I” page, and a business start-up and assistance page, among others.

A website aimed at promoting Philadelphia’s assets to potential new business and industry was approved by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen last week. While the city currently does not have its own website, aldermen have discussed one on numerous occasions and most recently, met with an official from U.S.NEXT of Jackson, a company which designs sites for cities and counties, among others.
